Guarenteed service not fulfilled!


On April the 8th we were at the airport in Atlanta, GA when I realized that I had left my driver%u2019s license at home %u2013 I contacted FedEx in Lincoln and they said that they would be able to get it to me that evening ( we had a flight early the next morning) and that they could guarantee that it would get there that evening %u2013 I used my card to pay the $249.76 and they gave me a # to use. They called us at the hotel that evening and said that it would be at the United Airlines desk by 10 that evening but then called later that evening and said that it was held up in Chicago but that it would be there by 6AM the next morning. It wasn%u2019t and when I called they said it would be there by 10:30 that morning which was too late for us and so they told us that the airlines could hold it until we returned on April 28th. I was told at the counter (check in) that they could do this.

When we returned to the airport on the 28th we were told that they did not provide such a service and that I would need to go to the United express building which was a couple of miles from the airport and necessitated taking a taxi (we had another plane to catch) which cost me $15. each way (total $30.).

When we returned home contacted FedEx and was told that they would refund the cost PLUS the taxi %u2013 which they should! But it had not shown on our bill so I called a couple of weeks ago and was told that it would be showing up %u2013 I called again this evening (800-399-5999) and was told that they could only credit back $62.44 (which was credited back on our recent Visa) %u2013 when I asked why she told me that it was because they got it down there. BUT %u2013 NOT WHEN PROMISED - and we would not have spent that much money if they had not guaranteed that we would receive it that evening.

We feel this should be made right %u2013
